Rita Burpee

I am a Psychotherapist who works with adults and elders. As a Psychotherapist, Pastoral Minister and Registered Nurse, my work is holistically based, addressing the mind, body and spirit. The therapeutic environment in which I work is interactive, accepting and empathic. This creates a safe, confidential environment in which you can begin to know yourself better including your deepest needs and desires with a goal of living your life to the fullest. My graduate work is in Clinical Social Work and Theology at Boston College. My undergraduate work is in Social Work at Bridgewater State College and Nursing at Massasoit College in Brockton. In addition, I hold a Post-Graduate Certificate in Trauma from Boston University. As a Pastoral Minister volunteer, I have visited the ill, home-bound and those at the end of life in home or hospital for 11 years. My specialty areas are in stress management, life transitions, grief and loss, acute and chronic illness, relationship issues, trauma, PTSD, spirituality, anxiety and depression, ACOA, and elder issues. I accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicare, Out of Network Insurances, and Private Pay along with a clinical discount if needed.
